supported by alex attias (planet e), italoboyz, karotte, sebo k, raresh, d julz, funk d void. michael melchner is barely at the beginning of his twenties. at the moment deep house of the late nineties has to take a shine to him. in the detail it gets clear, that this is not only a copy of an epoch, but a certain vibe, which is going to be transferred into the present. this vibe with his warm sound, the well dosed house beats and a strong musical sense is hearable, but this sounds by no means antiquated. on a-side several instruments like percussions, xylophone and samples of an mexican trumpet make sure that there isn’t only an exiting variety shortly before or after the primetime, but also a proper portion of itchy feet. with the both tracks on the flip-side the whole spectrum of michael melchner becomes clear, at the one hand a clear view on the dance floor with classical house beats and on the other hand a musical character, which one misses in many current productions. >chen chen< is slightly more co plicated and more rhythmic whilst >nothing happened< is a pleasing leaned back dramaturgical subtle house piece with a distinctive bass line and interspersed voice samples.

funny a side!! the danish scene has evolved a lot over the last years, with acts like trentemøller, martinez and whomadewho. the new label tartelet records is rising from the horizon of the copenhagen club culture. tartelet records is founded by fredski (the man behind the greatest copenhagen parties ) and tomboy (aka tomas barfod, dj, producer and drummer of whomadewho, with previous releases on turbo, kitsuné , get physical and gomma). the two founders themselves are also behind this first tartelet release, which is a true showcase of what the label stands for: tech-house with multiple flavors like ghetto, funk, disco and a bit world. the a-side ‘do the tartelet’ is a schizophrenic yet effect full combination of sampled horn-madness, hand claps and techno bass. on the flip side ‘cereal’ sounds as if james holden and paul jonson were trying to make minimal house together. the future releases from tartelet promise remixes from world-league remixers (tba) and tracks by danish kleshmer-techno-reggae band analogik do the tartelet

carl falk returns on the infamous adult records label with two brand new tracks. both produced in his trademark tribal fuelled techno sound which will appeal to many for sure! remixes by dejan milicevic (recon warriors) and prude polly (adult/ relatives labelowner) are included to make this a not-to-be-missed package!

for this first release of missile records versus patterns the hybrid players (rodolfo wehbba) teamed up with tim taylor. studio 54 on the b-side is the result, a pumping house track thatll perfectly warm people up for a hot night, like nights used to be in studio 54. on the a-side there is a great remix by bryan cox - known for releases on kontrast and elixir records to name a few. quality work that will make you smile!

electric minds present gatto fritto for their 3rd release. a talented musician and producer from north london, he has been steadily building a reputation through his releases on london based dissident. extending his repertoire further he brings another quality production to electric minds. the a side bursting the bubble is a nine minute jam with quirky sync samples, heavy bass and a change in direction half way through the track which is becoming a trade mark of gatto frittos productions. the b side radio b-92 did not make its place on the first electric minds release as planned, so they were delighted to have been able to include it here. it is a sync rich track taking inspiration from new yorks 80s electro scene, a perfect compliment to what is already a very strong 12inch release. house heads as well as the cosmic fans will appreciate both productions

phonogenics >postcard< is slow burner, building and rising to a eventual climax of melancholic underwater deepness. this song will no doubt be played by those in the later time slots and anyone who wants to add a little journey to their mixes. our main man dex aka dave barker is back with another slice of some quality melodic quirky goodness. >yikes!< has a very chopped up funk/soul feel mixed with solid house beats. studio trickery and a hidden japanese opera helps the track evolve from its soulful beginning to another world entirely. finally, we are very pleased to bring you the first of many musical efforts from amantu wilde. not much is known about amantu as he is a bit of a recluse and does not offer up much information about himself. >g-g-got my eyes on you< is a very retro sounding track reminiscent of some classic new wave jams. pseudo industrial percussion and excellent filter work make this track something to remember. something strange for sure but we think people will like the break from the mod rn sounds
